North Andover Historical Society We seek, save, and share North Andover’s history. We also operate the S.

The North Andover Historical Society was founded in 1913 and is dedicated to preserving our local heritage and bringing it to life through children’s programs, guided tours, lectures, workshops, exhibits, craft demonstrations, architectural walking tours and publications. Our historic properties include Johnson Cottage (1789), the Parson Barnard House (1715) and the Hay Scales Building (1833). Forbes Rockwell Library and Archive at the Society Headquarters which contains thousands of documents, books, photographs, and paper objects that tell the story of the town and it’s people. We offer memberships and other ways to donate to support us, so check out how you can contribute to the preservation of our community!

Come join us at this special event from the Lawrence Historical Commission, celebrating some of the stories of the patriots of 1776 who lived in (what is now the) city of Lawrence, and how their stories connect to us, today.

This is a free program starting at 1.30pm on Saturday 9/12, at Lawrence Heritage State Park. The program features guest speakers Joe Bella from Historic Methuen Inc., Joanna Collantine Kerr from North Andover Historical Society and Martha Tubinis from the Andover Center for History & Culture.

Our popular History shuttle Tours through North Andover and Andover are back!
Join us September 27th at 11:00 or 1:30 for a shuttle tour of our two town's important Revolutionary Period homes and sites as we tell stories from the American Revolution.
This event includes a special on-foot tour of the 1695/1721 Bridges-Stevens House.
