In the mood for Fall yet? Come by the library all of October for some spooky, but not so scary, festivities! Check out our Pillowcase Workshop, Halloween Party for kids, Joel Tacey's Tales from Beyond, and of course, a Halloween-themed Movie Night. September is Library Card Sign Up Month!

MeLCat is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year! As part of the festivities, the new MeLCat mascot Mittens is visiting all the participating libraries. We had a great visit with our friend, Mittens, at the North Adams Library last week!

Arriving through MeLCat, Mittens was only too happy to jump in and help unpack and pack our RIDES tote for the day.
Reshelving books was another daily task Mittens got to lend a hand in completing while he explored the library. But Mittens also made sure to take time out for fun on the visit. We really enjoyed reading about Dewey (another famous library cat) and had some quiet coloring time with one of our puppet theatre friends. Finally, we got the Mittens stamp of approval on our quote of the week, "Reading is Dreaming with Eyes Open," and how true it is too!

Congratulations to Mittens and MeLCat on celebrating the 20th anniversary (and the 12th anniversary participating for our library).
