Good things are happening in the Borough of Rockledge,PA!
The Borough applied for its first Montco 2040 Grant and secured $250,000 through the program to help build a new ADA-accessible community building at Jarrett Playground.

The building will include a meeting room, kitchen, restrooms, storage, an outdoor pavilion, stage, and movie screen. It will also give summer camp kids a safe place to go during bad weather.

That’s a big win, and I’m glad that I had the opportunity to share this good news at Rockledge's board meeting earlier this week.

Looking forward to the day when they cut the ribbon to open their brand-new community center.

A lot of work went into bringing Montgomery County’s 9/11 Memorial to its new home at Elmwood Park. Thank you to all the volunteers who donated their time, equipment, and services to help us get it done.

My series continues with a look inside one of the County’s historic sites, Peter Wentz Farmstead in Worcester. In today’s video, you’ll learn about the Wentz Family and how they established this home in the 1700s.

Food has a unique way of bringing people together. I was proud to see that in action at Cecil and Grace Bean’s Soup Kitchen in Norristown.

I joined volunteers to serve lunch and kick off Visit Valley Forge & Montco’s 12th Annual Freedom from Hunger Food Drive, helping raise awareness and support for neighbors facing food insecurity.

Thank you to Visit Valley Forge & Montco, MontCo Anti-Hunger Network, Local Social, Merrymead Farm and all the volunteers who came together to make a difference in our community.

Before public service, I spent years in the corporate world and was also a small business owner. One business I owned years ago was local pizza shop, and one thing I learned is that a good meal can bring people together no matter who they are or where they come from.

Today, I joined volunteers at Cecil and Grace Bean's Soup Kitchen in Norristown to serve lunch and help kick off Visit Valley Forge & Montco's 12th Annual Freedom from Hunger Food Drive. It was a reminder that food insecurity isn't always visible, but it's a challenge facing families across Montgomery County every day.

I'm grateful toValley Forge Tourism & Convention Board, MontCo Anti-Hunger Network, Local Social, Merrymead Farm, and all the volunteers who donated their time, and food, and work to make sure our neighbors have access to nutritious meals and support when they need it most.
