We've been busy! Yesterday Lynn Williams (L) and Mary Onama visited the Elmwood Park Zoo to volunteer with the Rotary Club of Norristown. We also had a staff meeting in Norristown where we met our new interns.

🛍💜🍂 We are trying something new this fall to raise funds for VSC. Introducing our first ever Online Mystery Bag Raffle. Mystery Bags are so much fun when we gather in person that we decided to expand the fun to an online version. We will hop on Zoom together at lunch on Friday to do the drawing and see what's in the bag. It could be sports tickets. It could be a restaurant gift card. It could be museum passes.

🎫 Each raffle ticket is just $5 (but you can pay more if you like. We'd really love that, actually.)

📶 Signal boost for our library friends! Join us on Thursday September 10 for Stories that Protect, preschool story time with VSC.

This program gives young children gentle, age-appropriate tools around feelings, safe adults, boundaries, and communication — while also giving caregivers simple, supportive ways to continue those conversations at home.

Your boundaries matter. You have the right to say no, change your mind, and make choices without pressure.

The early weeks of the fall semester are often called the “Red Zone,” when college students face a higher risk of sexual assault.

Pressure can include guilt trips, threats, or repeatedly asking after someone has said no. Whether you’ve just met or have been together for years, you deserve to have your choices respected.
