The National Personnel Records Center (NPRC),1 Archives Dr., St. Louis, Missouri, 63138, USA has not responded to my request for my Father's WWII service records which I mailed sometime in late March 2020 or early April 2020. Maybe because of the pandemic? Let's give them time.

If you are a "decorated" WWII Veteran, you need to apply for this award. This used to be awarded for military service only but now people from all walks of life for exemplary community service are eligble. Applications are available online.
