Today, officers from the Normandy Police Department joined law enforcement, fire, EMS, and public safety partners from across the region for a Code 1000 active response drill.

Training alongside our neighboring agencies strengthens coordination, communication, and preparedness during critical incidents. These exercises provide an opportunity to test our response capabilities, identify areas for improvement, and ensure we are ready to protect our community when it matters most.

We are grateful for the partnerships that make this training possible and remain committed to continuous training, professional development, and public safety.

Way Back Wednesday:

Long before it became the circle we know today, the intersection at Natural Bridge & Florissant Road was famously called “The Wedge.” Back in the 1980s, Normandy officers regularly directed traffic there by hand. No fancy digital signs, no GPS rerouting… just whistles, a sharp uniform, and a lot of patience!

This throwback photo captures a time when big hair, cassette tapes, and cruising down Natural Bridge were part of everyday life in Normandy.

MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) hosted its Annual Heroes For Heroes Law Enforcement and Community Partners Recognition Event at the Riverview City Casino & Hotel.

The 160 officers recognized contributed to approximately 3,700 DWI arrests in 2025 through their dedicated enforcement efforts to keep our communities safe.

Congratulations to Sgt. Mack on being recognized by MADD for his outstanding commitment to impaired driving enforcement in 2025 and for his continued efforts to keep our roadways safe.
