Big moments deserve strong support, and becoming a mom is one of them.

Children First is a free program for first-time mothers that provides personal visits with specially trained nurses beginning early pregnancy through the child's second birthday. During visits, nurses will cover information on pregnancy, labor and delivery, and parenting skills such as feeding, bathing and toilet training.

Eligible participants must be first-time mothers who are less than 29 weeks pregnant at enrollment. Household income requirements also apply.

Call 405-579-2246 for more information or to schedule a visit. Learn more about Children First here: https://tinyurl.com/r5amx7uv

Your brain does a lot for you, so let’s take care of it!

From using 20% of your body’s energy to processing visuals faster than text, the brain is a powerful (and surprisingly fatty) organ.

Understanding how the brain works helps us spot when something isn’t working quite right—like early signs of Alzheimer’s or dementia. The more we know, the better we can support brain health at every age. Oklahoma.gov/health/ohbi
