OUPD Detective Bobby Bruemmer recently had the honor of carrying the into the Special Olympics Oklahoma State Summer Games Opening Ceremonies, surrounded by the incredible Oklahoma LETR family. A powerful symbol of unity, inclusion, and support for these amazing athletes.

This moment carried even deeper meaning as Bobby was selected to carry the torch after being awarded the Tim Stafford Unsung Hero Award 🏅

Even more special, Bobby chose to share that moment with his daughter Maevyn by his side.

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it—just a beautiful reminder of what community, heart, and purpose look like when they come together.

OPERATION SAFE CAMPUS CORNER

NPD partnered with OUPD, the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office, and ABLE on an education and enforcement project on Campus Corner over the weekend.

The increased presence and proactive enforcement were due to community concerns and complaints from businesses and community partners on Campus Corner relating to the increased use of fake ids, alcohol-related fights and disturbances, and crimes related to the overconsumption of alcohol.

The project resulted in enforcement action being taken on 45 individuals including multiple juveniles.

The overall goal is to create a safer area for both employees and patrons on Campus Corner, while also bringing awareness to the dangers of overconsumption.

Please join us in congratulating Detective Bobby Bruemmer on receiving the Tim Stafford Unsung Hero Award!

This distinguished recognition reflects Bobby’s unwavering commitment to service, professionalism, and integrity. This honor is the result of his longstanding volunteerism with Special Olympics Oklahoma, where he has generously given his time and energy in service to others beyond his official duties for over two decades.

Throughout his career, Bobby has consistently demonstrated selflessness and a deep dedication to the mission and values of the OUPD, often working behind the scenes with little expectation of recognition. Through his actions—both on and off duty—he is cementing his legacy as one of the most service-oriented and selfless officers in OUPD history.

Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement and thank you for your continued service!
