I addressed the Council tonight at our regular meeting and have resigned as the Mayor. I appreciate all the people of Norman for allowing me to represent you for almost 6 years. I believe that it is time for a change…for me and the City. The council appointed Dennis Cagle to be the Mayor and they asked me to stay on as a council member to which I accepted. Please support Dennis and reach out to him for stepping up to do the job. He truly cares about our town. My only request was that Ligon Oil Company still be allowed to sponsor our annual event for the 4th of July. Again, I thank you all for allowing me to step in and help when I was needed. I love this community and all the residents. I only want what is best for our town.

There will be an 8U baseball game at the Norman field Thursday night. It will be Mt Ida vs Norman if anyone wants to come out enjoy the weather and watch a game. Normally the field is first come first serve for practice but it has been requested for a game so please do not plan any practices for this Thursday. Thank you!
