“Public service demands consistency. It requires effort on the days we feel motivated—and even more on the days we don’t.”

Public Works Waste Removal Supervisor Dan Wallem shared the above sentiments during his commencement speech at the graduation ceremony for the Illinois Public Service Institute.

Wallem graduated from the three-year program in April. The program promotes and encourages professional development through education and training specifically designed for Public Works supervisors and managers.
