Tomorrow's the night! Teddy Swims, joined by Miranda Lambert, will take the stage for a FREE Operation MWR concert hosted by Navy MWR Entertainment and presented by USAA .

Power has been restored to Willoughby Housing. 🏠💡

FROM NAVSTA NORFOLK COMMANDING OFFICER – POWER OUTAGE UPDATE

Naval Station Norfolk continues to experience power outages impacting Willoughby Housing and other areas of the installation due to storms in the area.

Dominion Energy is also reporting storm-related outages in areas of Norfolk, including Ghent and areas near downtown.

NSN Public Works Department continues to actively troubleshoot the outages and assess the extent of the impact.

Willoughby Housing has been added to the voluntary evacuation. Residents should follow guidance provided by Liberty Military Housing.

We will continue to provide updates as information becomes available.

🏃‍♂️⚓ HEADS UP, NAVAL STATION NORFOLK! ⚓🏃‍♀️

The Run with the Chiefs is happening this Friday, Aug. 21 from approximately 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and you may notice a few more Chiefs — and future Chiefs — out and about than usual! 💪⚓

As participants make their way along the run route, personnel on the installation should expect increased pedestrian activity and traffic impacts in the areas identified on the map below. 🚗⚠️

Please plan ahead, allow a little extra time for your commute and use extra caution when traveling near the route.

We’re excited to announce that the USS Mesa Verde will ALSO be open for public tours!

That’s TWO U.S. Navy warships open for you to explore in one unforgettable day! Step aboard and get an up-close look at where our Sailors live, work and serve. ⚓
