🎨☕The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), FFSC Norfolk, hosted its 3rd Annual Paint-n-Tea Event for EFM families on 19 May 2026! The event was coordinated and planned by EFMP Case Liaison, Kim Crowell, with all EFMP CLs participating to support a meaningful evening of creativity and connection for families.

Families enjoyed painting portraits, spending quality time with one another, and learning more about available Fleet and Family Support resources through the resource table provided during the event. Families also had the opportunity to meet and connect with their Case Liaison in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Special thanks to our community sponsors, the Navy Commissary and Raising Cane’s, for providing refreshments and drinks that helped make the event even more enjoyable.

Join us on Wednesday, June 17 at 11 a.m. at McClure Stadium for a classic showdown.

But first... we need players! 💪

📢 TRYOUT ALERT!!! 📢

We're looking for active duty players to represent the Naval Training Station Bluejackets and the Naval Air Station Airmen.

🕓 Time: 4:00 p.m.
📍 Location: McClure Stadium

All players must be available for the game on June 17. Wooden bats will be provided by MWR. ⚾

Attention, Sailors! ⚓ Did you graduate from Recruit Training Command on or after June 1, 2024, without your complete seabag?

The new Uniform Electronic Gift Card Program is here to make sure you get the uniform items you were promised, with no out-of-pocket cost. ✅

Who is eligible?

Active and Reserve Sailors who:
🎓 Graduated RTC on or after June 1, 2024
🛍️ Did not receive a full seabag
📦 Were impacted by uniform supply chain shortages

Here's how to get your gear:
1️⃣ EMAIL NEXCOM: Send an email to [email protected] with your full name, graduating company/division, graduation date, phone number, and a personal email address.
2️⃣ VERIFICATION: Once validated, NEXCOM will send you an e-gift card and instructions.
3️⃣ REDEEM: Visit your nearest Navy Exchange Uniform Center, show your e-gift card on your phone with your military ID, and get your items!

Key things to remember:
The e-gift card must be used before September 30, 2026. 🗓️

The historic guns of the legendary USS NORFOLK (DL 1) are officially back where they belong — right here at the world’s largest…and BEST naval installation! 💥⚓️

Yesterday, crews carefully transported and reinstalled these incredible pieces of naval history near Gate 2, preserving a powerful connection to Naval Station Norfolk’s proud legacy and the generations of Sailors who have served here. 🇺🇸

👀 Be sure to pay special attention when entering Gate 2 tomorrow — you’ll spot the USS Norfolk gun mounts standing proudly once again!

A huge shoutout to everyone involved in safely moving and restoring these iconic pieces of history. 🔧🚛🏗️
