The days of the mighty C-2 Greyhound are numbered. As we approach the final days of our beloved community, we are excited to invite you to the first major celebration: the disestablishment of VRC-40!
The celebration will feature two days of events in Norfolk, Virginia:
1. 10:00 23 July 2026 - VRC-40 Sundown Ceremony and Final Flight of the Greyhound
The formal military ceremony will be held in LP-48, VRC-40's hangar aboard Naval Station Norfolk.
The final flight of the COD will be visible from a designated viewing area on the airfield flight line.

2. 18:30 24 July 2026 - VRC-40 Sundown Dinner Party
Join us as we revel in the sharing of sea stories, drink to the foam, and bid farewell to the Navy's final C-2 Greyhound Squadron! The celebratory dinner party will be held at the Virginia Air and Space Science Center in Hampton, Virginia.
This event is open to any interested adult supporter of the C-2 Greyhound, past or present. This includes Enlisted, Officers, spouses, civilians, friends, etc. Everyone is welcome!
