Last week four of our sailors returned from Charlotte, North Carolina for the Charlotte Navy Week, having the opportunity to support the community and local organizations. Speaking at local JROTC units and high schools, assisting organizations like Veterans Home Bridge and Promising Pages, and participating in events like Navy Day at the Discovery Place Science Museum.

This was an amazing opportunity to connect and share more about the METOC community and our mission, as well as life in the navy and what it means to serve!

The Office of the Chief of Naval Operations released CNOte #8, titled the “Continuous Improvement as Warfighting Advantage,” reinforcing that the Navy’s enduring edge is its ability to learn, adapt, and improve faster than any adversary.
Building on “The Way We Fight” (CNOte #4), the message outlines the Navy’s push to institutionalize continuous learning across the Fleet through the Tiered Learning System (TLS) — transforming lessons from operations, exercises, maintenance, and near misses into rapid, Fleet-wide improvements that strengthen readiness, resilience, and lethality.
