On May 11, 2026, the Chapter initiated three outstanding new members: Artisha Harris-Woody, Alethea Satterwhite and Verna Scott. As part of the celebration, the new members were
warmly welcomed at a special chapter dinner, where they were showered with gifts to usher them into Chumdom.

The evening was filled with fellowship, laughter and love as the chapter embraced its newest sisters. Each of these remarkable women brings unique talents and experiences that will further strengthen the organization's mission of service and sisterhood. Their backgrounds include leadership in church ministry, management of a non-profit organization and dedicated work with mother's participating in a
pre-trial diversion program.

The Tri-City (NC) Chapter of CHUMS, Inc. proudly delivered sensory boxes to CW Counseling Services in Weldon, North Carolina, in observance of Mental Health
Awareness Month. Thoughtfully assembled by chapter members, the Five Senses Sensory Boxes were designed to help reduce anxiety and stress by engaging the senses in calming and supportive ways.

Each box included items to support overall wellness, such as stress balls for touch, a coloring book or journal for sight, scented lotion for smell, earbuds for hearing, and comforting herbal tea for taste.

Through this meaningful service initiative, the Tri-City (NC) Chapter continues its commitment to promoting mental health awareness and providing resources that encourage comfort, relaxation, and emotional well-being within the community.
