On May 22nd 2026, CDR Kristen Caldwell officially relieved CDR Christopher Rosen as Commanding Officer of the Coast Guard Incident Management Assist Team (CG-IMAT).

The Change of Command is a time-honored Coast Guard tradition that formally symbolizes the continuity of authority. Conducted before the unit’s company, it represents the absolute transfer of responsibility, authority, and accountability from one leader to the next.

Following the Change of Command, there was another major milestone to celebrate: CDR Rosen was officially frocked to the rank of Captain!

CAPT Rosen will be heading to his next assignment as Commander, National Strike Force, and Commanding Officer of the National Strike Force Coordination Center.

Please join us in the comments to welcome CDR Caldwell to the helm, and to congratulate CAPT Rosen on his promotion and new assignment! 👏
