The Norfolk WIC Office will be closed at noon on September 4th - Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day. Services will resume on Tuesday, September 8th.

In observance of Labor Day, the Norfolk Department of Public Health will close at 12pm NOON Friday, September 4, 2026.

Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Breastfeeding can be overwhelming and physically demanding for a new mom, so it’s important to have her back! 💗 Dads and partners play a huge role in breastfeeding success. And WIC is here to help you do so! Here are some tips to help support your breastfeeding partner:

🧹Lighten the chore load for your partner! Mom needs to focus on resting, healing, and nursing.
🥛Anticipate mom’s needs during feeding, like cleaning bottles and breast pumps and bringing her snacks and water!
👶Share baby duties! Make sure to handle non-feeding tasks like diapering and burping while mom rests.

New Hope Church Of God in Christ is hosting a Community Day today. There are activities for the children and plenty of community resources. Norfolk WIC Program is one of the resources in the building. We hope to see you!
