Emma Villanueva be improvin' in her learnin', engagement, and character like a true matey! She be strivin' to do better with each passin' day and she asks fine questions during class. She always shows kindness to the crew around her! Way to go, matey! Arrr!

Pirate of the Month:

Janelle Brown be a flawless scholar o' the seven seas! She keeps a keen eye and ear in class, ne'er lettin' a lesson slip past her. Not once has she failed to hand in her work on time, like a true and trusty deckhand. She joins in every bit o' class chatter with gusto, and shows fine command o' her manners from sunup to sundown. Aye, Janelle sails a steady course each day!

Teagan be a fine first grade sailor, showin' her best both on deck and on shore. She works mighty hard on every bit o' work she's given, treats her fellow crew with kindness, and proves herself a trusty and responsible mate every day.

Nordheim ISD will begin classes at the regular scheduled time Monday January 26th. Dress warm and be mindful of road conditions. Stay safe and warm and we will see you in the morning.

All Hands on Deck award:

Abbigail Yanta be sharp-eyed and fully engaged on deck each day in class. When it's time to gather in crews for group work, she's often the one takin' the helm. She be a fine student indeed, and her marks in class prove it true. Always polite, she speaks well of others and keeps a kind tongue. She finishes her work smartly and never needs a nudge to stay busy, even when she's the first to strike her tasks off the list. Congratulations on receiving the All Hands on Deck Award! Arrr!
