Honoring Juneteenth! ❤️

Today, we honor the history, resilience and achievements of those who fought for freedom and equality. We invite you to celebrate with us at the Juneteenth Celebration today from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Cultural Arts & Community Center as we come together to recognize freedom, culture and community.

The program will feature remarks from Mayor Newton, light refreshments and special performances by the Hopewell Baptist Church Youth Choir and acclaimed cellist Okorie "OkCello" Johnson. Can't attend in person? The celebration will be livestreamed on Facebook so you can join us from anywhere. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Great police work leads to arrest and recovery of stolen property

The Norcross Police Department has arrested a suspect connected to a residential burglary that occurred during an open house on Ollie Avenue earlier this month.

Following a thorough investigation, Norcross detectives identified and tracked the suspect, recovered numerous pieces of stolen jewelry and made an arrest on felony burglary and additional charges. Their investigation also uncovered evidence linking the suspect to a similar burglary in a neighboring jurisdiction, allowing stolen property from that case to be recovered and returned to investigators there.

This case highlights the dedication of our officers and detectives, as well as the importance of cooperation between law enforcement agencies in keeping our communities safe.

Please join us in thanking the men and women of the Norcross Police Department for their hard work and commitment to protecting our residents and businesses.
