The Nolensville Fire Marshal’s Office recently had the privilege of hosting a regional training event in partnership with the International Firestop Council (IFC). This valuable training brought together participants from five different fire departments, fostering collaboration and enhancing knowledge across our region.

The session focused on firestop systems, code compliance, and best practices for protecting life and property through effective fire containment. Opportunities like this strengthen interagency relationships while ensuring our personnel remain equipped with the latest industry standards and techniques.

Today on Clovercroft Road, a car went off the roadway down a steep embankment. Luckily everyone was okay but they needed some help getting back up the slope. Nolensville rescue members using the rescue capabilities on our new ladder truck with assistance from Williamson Health EMS and Williamson County Sheriffs Office were able to quickly and safely get all the occupants back up to the roadway.

A common misconception is that every sprinkler activates at once during a fire. In reality, home fire sprinklers work individually and are triggered by heat, helping control a fire quickly and limiting its spread.

Watch this short video to learn more about how home fire sprinklers work and why they matter.

Home fire sprinklers are really very simple. This short video shows how they work.
