A BackStage look at SMC Corporation of America.

Yesterday, HCLA alumni had the opportunity to go behind the scenes at SMC, one of Hamilton County's leading advanced manufacturing facilities. The group explored how SMC combines cutting-edge automation, precision engineering, and a global footprint to deliver innovative solutions across industries - and how they are preparing the next generation for the workforce.

Thanks to Hannah Morrison and SMC for hosting a fantastic tour!

🌈This and every month, we celebrate the dignity and worth of every person in our community.

We strive to create spaces where everyone feels they belong - because we believe that leadership grows where people feel seen, valued, and supported.

As you may have seen in our e-newsletter last week, our Program Coordinator, Carol Paddock, is retiring in June. Carol has been an asset to HCLA for the past five years, especially as we navigated the executive director transition last year.

We are so grateful for all that Carol has done for HCLA and we wish her all the best in retirement! We invite you to share your well wishes for Carol in the comments.

"What makes a place worth living?
..This month, the 2026 cohort examined quality of place in Hamilton County. From my first day with the Class of 2026, it was evident that Hamilton County is a special place to each of my classmates. This month’s speakers helped explain why this might be the case."
