Chex is known for being “Full of possibilities. Full of what you love.”

However, after officers observed an individual whose driving habits were less than desirable in and around our community, a traffic stop was conducted. During the stop, indicators of criminal activity were observed, prompting the deployment of our Narcotics K9.

What appeared to be a box of breakfast cereal had been repurposed to conceal approximately 54 grams of suspected methamphetamine. The packaging did not deceive K9 Lando, who conducted a free air sniff and provided a positive alert.

When the packaging lies, the nose does not.

Rest easy Metro D.C. Police Officer Terry Bennett , we have the watch from here. Our hearts go out to the all who loved Metro D.C. Police Officer Terry Bennett, family, friends, and the blue family at work.

Metro D.C. Police Officer Terry Bennett succumbed to his injuries on January 7, 2026, after being struck by a vehicle while assisting a disabled motorist.

At The Wounded Blue, we stand with the law enforcement officers who put themselves in harm’s way and with the families whose lives are forever changed by these tragedies.
