STAAR SCORES: Beginning June 10 for STAAR end-of-course assessments and June 16 for STAAR grades 3–8 assessments, you will be able to access your child’s STAAR results by logging into your ASCENDER Parent Portal. After logging in, you will see a link labeled Texas Assessments. This will take you directly to your child’s STAAR results, including detailed information!

STAAR testing will take place the week of June 15 - 18 for those students who did not meet standards. All students who need to retest received a letter in the mail. If you did not receive a letter and would like to know if your child needs to attend, please call the high school office. (830) 582-1536 ext 201

School may be out for summer, but we know how quickly August will be here! We want to go ahead and share our elementary and middle school supply lists.

We celebrated the incredible individuals who help make Nixon-Smiley Elementary such a special place. From honoring our retirees to recognizing staff members celebrating 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and even an incredible 45 years of service.

Congratulations to all of our service pin recipients, and a special thank you to our retirees for the lasting impact you’ve made on our school and community. Your years of service and care have touched countless lives.
