N-CAP Because it's our community and we care.

The Niskayuna Community Action Program (N-CAP) is a non-profit, volunteer, community coalition whose mission is to improve the quality of life for all those living, working, or learning in the Town or School District of Niskayuna with an emphasis on substance use prevention by youth. Program highlights include:

* Current recipient of a Drug Free Communities grant through the CDC
* Niska-Day, annual community celebration
* The Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) program for all ages
* Community service scholarships to graduating Niskayuna High School Seniors
* Drug Take Back Day in collaboration with NPD, DEA and the Town of Niskayuna
* Middle school prevention billboard contest
* B.A.S.E. (Be Aware Stay Engaged) youth community based club focused on substance misuse prevention
