06-14-26 After the severe thunderstorm moved through the area, Stations 7, and 9-7 units responded to a tree and wires down on a vehicle in the 100 block of W. Village Dr., Brush 9-7 also cleared a tree down on the River Road.

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...Central Centre County in central Pennsylvania...Central Clinton County in north central Pennsylvania...Lycoming County in north central Pennsylvania...Southeastern Tioga County in north central Pennsylvania...Central Union County in central Pennsylvania...

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 808 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Cedar Run to Hyner to Zion, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Williamsport, Lock Haven, Bellefonte, Montoursville, Jersey Shore, Carroll, Pleasant Cap, Lamar, Zion, Mill Hall, Avis, and Dunnstown.

For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the Snow Shoe and Lewisburg-Williamsport exits, specifically from mile markers 156 to 206.

This includes the following Interstates...
Interstate 99 from mile markers 79 to 85.
Interstate 180 from mile markers 20 to 29.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these severe thunderstorms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Very heavy rainfall is occurring with these severe thunderstorms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for central and north central Pennsylvania.

The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued

* Tornado Watch for portions of Western and Central
Pennsylvania

* Effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 540 PM until 1000 PM EDT.

* Primary threats include...
A couple tornadoes possible
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible

SUMMARY...Ongoing supercells and a broken line of thunderstorms should pose a threat for a couple of tornadoes and scattered severe/damaging winds late this afternoon and continuing into the evening as they move eastward across parts of western and central Pennsylvania.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles north and south of a line from 50 miles west southwest of Dubois PA to 5 miles north of Williamsport PA.

530 AM Saturday June 13th, 2026: Enjoy today with lots of sun and lower humidity than in recent days. There is potential for more strong to severe storms on Sunday, mainly during the afternoon into the evening. The main threat will be strong winds and heavy downpours.

The Officers and Members would like to congratulate Junior Firefighter Wes Plocinski on passing the National Regestry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) today. Wes completed his educational portion of the EMT course through Votech at Williamsport Area High School in their Homeland Security program as a student at South Williamsport Area School District. Wes joined the company in 2023 and had completed all available trainings for his age. Wes also plans to intern with the Williamsport Bureau of Fire (Williamsport Firefighters Local 736) later this year.
