🚨CLAM ALERT at Oceano Dunes!

The clams are surfacing again. Every so often they pop up.

➡️Be sure to AVOID driving at the waterline where they seem to be hanging out, don’t mistake them for rocks!

🐚Most if not all of the surfaced ones are undersized. To legally harvest them they must be 4 1/2” across when measured with a ridged device, you must have a valid fishing license & 10 is the daily limit.

💸Taking undersized clams = hefty fines!

🛑 California Coastal Commission, Pismo Beach September 7-9 (Next Week). Join us Friday September 9! It’s time to SHOW UP, fill the room, make public comments and tell the Commission what you think about their decision to force the closure of Oceano Dunes SVRA! Spread the word to friends, family, coworkers, neighbors and local businesses to attend and join Friends for the Friday September 9 meeting!! Let’s fill that room!

Let’s not forget, in March 2021, the CCC unanimously voted to force the closure of Oceano Dunes SVRA in 2024. Let’s also not forget that they took this vote from their Zoom screens, with zero regard for public input. Friends legal team currently has 18 lawsuits filed, and we are working around the clock. Show up with us in Pismo next Friday September 9 and tell the Coastal Commission what you think and how their decision has impacted you!

You can also attend via Zoom to provide comments, you must preregister. Attending in person will make a bigger impact. The meeting will be September 7-9 at Cliff’s Hotel & Spa in Pismo Beach. Please SHARE, spread the word and JOIN US TO ATTEND!!

Another victory against the government agencies in Sacramento that are supposed to be working to serve Californians, not against us. Our victory sends a message to Sacramento that stall tactics won’t be tolerated.
