Good Morning!

Aquatic vegetation treatment begins today, June 3, 2026, and will continue through tomorrow, June 4, 2026.

Treatment Schedule
• Sweetwater Lake: June 3, 2026
• Cordry Lake: June 4, 2026

Water Use Restrictions Following Treatment

- Food crop irrigation: 5-day restriction
- Lawn irrigation: 3-day restriction
- Animal watering: 24-hour restriction (this only applies if the lake is the sole water source for domestic animals; it does not apply to pets that may drink from the shoreline)
- Human drinking water: 3-day restriction on the use of water from treated areas

No other water use restrictions are required.

Please note that these restrictions apply only to the treated areas of the lakes.

Saturday, June 6th 9am-noon.

Meet in front of the fire station for a brief orientation.
Ecology Commission member Harold Crooks will instruct and lead participants on the goal for the day of removing invasive plant species.

This project is a requirement for our America The Beautiful grant.
Please join us for this worthwhile community event.
Dress for the weather; boots, gloves, long pants, tick repellent. Feel free to bring your own loppers, or pruning saws.

***Boat Decals Expire 6/15/2026***

The yellow motorized decals and blue nonmotorized decals expire on 6/15/2026.
If you have not picked up the 2026-2028 boating decals please call the office at 317-933-2893 and we will get your decals ready for a quick & easy pick up.

Reminder if you have not taken the Zebra Mussel Course & Boater Safety Test you will need to pass these with 100/100 to pick up your boat decals. If you do not have access to a computer we have one that you can use at the Office, just call and schedule an appointment to take them.

Things you need to provide to obtain a watercraft decal:
*Photo ID
*Current title, application for title, watercraft registration, or certificate of origin in the current lot owner’s name.
*Insurance Information (Insurance company name, policy number, and insurance agent contact information)
*Zebra Mussel Course Certificate
*Boat Safety Certificate

There are currently commission openings on both the Ecology & Road Commission. If you are interested in joining either of these advisory commissions to the Board of Director's, please send your bio/resume or contact information in to Brittany Bay at [email protected] or Nick Johann at [email protected], they will pass your information along to the commission and the Board of Director's .
