Ever wonder how a town becomes a city or if Slab City could ever really be one? Easy and actually yes. First what's the difference, aka who cares? Well, you said you do. Guess what, a city chooses its own police force and it's own building and planning codes. It is self-governing and qualifies for state funding for things like it's own waste management and post office and such. The downside is a barely noticeable increase in property tax. I believe they set their own sales tax. You never see anything different because the few places that are are owned by the insanely rich and you're not invited. To me Slab City is a bunch of naked kids outside looking in a window together at a party they didn't want to attend. So where's the catch and could we really do that?
Here's the first catch. I'm setting up the Slab City 2.0 website and associated plugins like a chatbot and have to test it. If you want to be involved and know more message me the word more.
P.S. Even though you can get involved from any location the only Slabbers for the foreseeable future must either reside in Slab City or be able to work remotely.
Are you ready, citizen? Message more...
