Chief Dustin Railey and Assistant chief Allen Thompson had the pleasure of visiting Nicholls Elementary today and show some of the kids the truck and gear that we use to fight fires. But we think the kiddos loved the water cannon more than anything.

ATTENTION ALL NICHOLLS CITIZENS!!! AS OF October 1 2025 THE ISO RATING WILL GO FROM A 5/5X TO A 4/4X. THIS IS A BIG ACHIEVEMENT FOR THE THE CITY AND WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL OF OUR FIRE AND CITY PERSONNEL WHO HELPED TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL. ⛈️Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible later this afternoon into evening. The best chances will be in SE GA, the I-95 corridor and along the Atlantic coast. Stronger storms could produce gusts 40-60 mph, frequent lightning strikes, localized flooding from heavy downpours, small hail and a brief tornado.
