In honor of the Vietnam Wall Es**rt passing through WILMORE on Thursday, June 11, at approximately 11:15-11:30 AM, we invite our community to help line Main Street / Lexington Ave. and show support for our Veterans and fallen heroes.

Free small American flags will be available for pickup beginning at 10:00am at the Wilmore Municipal Center, located at 210 S. Lexington Ave.

Let's come together and show support for our Veterans and fallen heroes. Grab a flag, find a spot to cheer and help us create a powerful display of patriotism and gratitude.

Thank you for helping us honor those who have served and sacrificed for our nation.

Just a reminder, Camp Nelson will be having a Memorial Day Ceremony beginning at 11am. Please use caution when traveling in that area this morning as traffic has began to increase.

Update: Roadway is back open.
Traffic alert**
Deputies are working a collision in the 3000 block of Union Mill. The roadway is currently shut down at Union Mill/East Hickman and Union Mill/Logana. Please use an alternate route.

UPDATE - all lanes of traffic are now open.

We have responded to a collision on US27 - between Groggins Ferry Road and the North Junction of North Main Street.

As of now, all northbound and southbound lanes are closed.

We are attempting to open lanes as quickly as possible. Until then, we recommend motorists avoid the area.

Please welcome Deputy Landon Burress to the Jessamine County Sheriffs Office. He comes to us with 2 years experience from the Lexington Police Department and is a Marine Corp Veteran. He was sworn in this morning by Judge Executive David West.
