Yesterday crews worked a 5 vehicle collision on KY Hwy 169. The roadway was shut down for an extended amount of time due to the collision and the clean up required to reopen the roadway. Due to the amount of automotive fluids on the roadway the KY Transportation District 7 came out to assist and PECCO completed the clean up. the roadway was reopened after it was deemed safe to do so for travelers. Thank you to all of agencies that we work with day in and day out to keep our community safe. Jessamine County Sheriff, Jessamine County EMS, Jessamine County EM, KY Transportation District 7, and PECCO.

Be weather aware tonight, especially during the overnight. Have more than one way to monitor for alerts and warnings.

Multiple rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms are expected early this week. The first and most significant wave is forecast Monday night into Tuesday morning (9 PM–5 AM EDT), with the
greatest risk along and west of I-65. As the line moves east of I-65 it should weaken due to the lack of daytime heating, but all areas
should remain alert for rapid changes. The primary hazards with this nocturnal event are damaging straight-line winds and possible spin-up tornadoes along the line, and nighttime timing increases the risk.
