Celebrating 27 incredible years in education! 🎉

After a remarkable career spanning nearly three decades—including 20 years at Jessamine County—Margo Marquette is retiring from the Jessamine Career & Technology Center. She began her journey as an Industrial Arts teacher in Anderson County before inspiring generations of students in Computer Science.

Throughout her career, she witnessed technology transform from floppy disks to cloud storage and from 2D graphics to immersive 4D experiences. While her classroom days may be ending, her creativity certainly isn't. In retirement, Margo will continue her artistic journey as a nationally recognized stained glass artist.

Thank you, Margo, for your dedication, innovation, and impact on countless students. Wishing you a retirement filled with creativity, joy, and new adventures! 💙✨

Mrs. Sea is especially proud of her Business Ethics students for leading and organizing this project from start to finish. Thank you for stepping up, showing leadership, and making a positive impact in our community! 🤍

From mystery baskets to magic in the kitchen ✨🍽️
Our culinary students cooked under pressure at the Walt Disney World Cook Around the World Culinary Improv Competition and placed in the TOP 20 of their session!

After randomly drawing South America as their inspiration, students had just 90 minutes to research, create, plate, and present a full menu featuring bold regional flavors. Their final dishes included a flavorful soup, creative tacos, a fresh dessert, and a refreshing lime drink — all prepared from mystery basket ingredients while meeting strict culinary competition guidelines. 🌎🔥 Students also got to meet celebrity chef Duff Goldman, Disney Culinary professionals, and chefs from several of the top culinary institutes in the country.

We are so proud of the Work Ethic, Communication, creativity, professionalism, and culinary skill our students demonstrated on one the big stage. These students truly proved they can handle the heat and bring the flavor!
