The Niantic Fire Department would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Howard G. Buffett Foundation for its extraordinarily generous donation of $150,000.
This contribution exceeds our annual budget and represents far more than financial support — it is an investment in the safety of our firefighters and the community we proudly serve. Like many departments, we have faced ongoing challenges in keeping pace with advancing technology and ensuring we have the proper tools to do our job effectively and safely.
Because of this remarkable donation, we will be able to modernize our equipment, strengthen our capabilities, and provide safer, more efficient service to our residents. These new tools will not only make our jobs easier, but more importantly, they will help protect the men and women who put themselves on the line every day.
