We have some incredible renovations planed for this fall, so things might look a little different while we get everything put together.

What we're doing:
- Replacing the circulation counter

What to expect:

- A temporary circulation station to make sure you can still check out materials as normal

- Some increased noise while renovators are working

- A little extra hustle and bustle

We are making every effort we can to ensure these renovations cause as little disruption as possible. Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns, and thank you for your understanding. We're excited to show off the new us once everything is completed! 💃🕺

Bad news: the screening of The Good Dinosaur that was scheduled for this Friday, 8.21 at the Main Branch is cancelled 😓

Good news: It's cancelled due to some exciting renovations happening in the Main Branch auditorium! 😎 We're excited to share the new space once it's completed.

Attention all board game enthusiasts and crafters! Next Monday, July 13th at 6:00pm, we are hosting a game and crafting night in the LaSalle Library auditorium! Expect an evening of friendly competition, low stakes crafts, and lots of laughter!

We will have some new and old classic games; Scattergories, Scrabble, Wingspan, Uno, the Family Edition of Cards Against Humanity, and a few decks of cards! Feel free to bring a craft you're currently working on, or join us with rock painting and bracelet weaving.

To celebrate America's 250th anniversary, we are holding a bookmark art contest for all artfully inclined kids! Grab a blank bookmark for the child in your life to decorate for a chance to have their art printed as bookmarks for July. The winner will be chosen at random, so little artists of all ages are encouraged to enter!

Bookmark blanks are available at both the LaSalle Branch Library and the Main Library.

National Poetry Month was inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in April 1996. Over the years, it has become the largest literary celebration in the world with schools, publishers, libraries, booksellers, and poets celebrating poetry’s vital place in our culture.
