The Lewis County Sheriff's Office K9 Program has continued with the sole purpose of to protect and serve the citizens of Lewis County. LCSO'S K9 program has assisted agencies throughout region 1 and will strive to remain professional and diligent in the course of our deployments. Lewis County is currently running K9 Bajo trained for narc detection, patrol apprehension, article retrieval and tracki

ng K9 "Kido" with handler Corporal Phil Arnzen whom is trained in the field of location of the odor of narcotics. Lewis County has had the privilege of knowing and serving with many great K9'S who gave daily without any ask of gratitude. The Lewis County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the community for it's continued support and donations that keep us striving for excellence. A K-9 PRAYER

Trust in me, my friend, for I am your comrade. When all others have left you

a bond only others like us will understand. When outsiders see us together
their envy will be measured by their disdain. I will quietly listen to you
and pass no judgment,
nor will your spoken words be repeated. I will remain ever silent,
ever vigilant, ever loyal. And when our time together is done
and you move on in this world,
remember me with kind thoughts and tales,
for a time we were unbeatable. Nothing passed among us undetected. If we should meet again on another street
I will gladly take up your fight. I am a Police Working K-9 and together

Remembering the tragedy that happened 22 years today and the 2,977 people that were killed. Let's remember all the dogs that work so tirelessly to try to find survivors. A lot of these dogs suffered PTSD after because they were so saddened by not finding any survivors. They are really heroes as well.
