Good evening! Just a quick note to let you know that UMFC, along with other agencies, will be conducting training exercises on the Delaware River tomorrow. The location will be from Yardley and head north towards New Hope. Training should start around 8am and last a few hours.. so if you see them out there, give a wave, and know they are doing all they can to stay prepared…

This morning we mourn the loss of Officer Kristen Yeager of the Central Berks Regional Police Department who was tragically killed in a vehicle crash last night while responding to a call for service. We, at the Upper Makefield Township Police Department, would like to express our deepest condolences to Ofc. Yeager’s family, friends, loved ones, and her co-workers at the Central Berks Regional Police Department. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten…

Remembering when….

Last night, while officers were on patrol, they found this cute bandit laying in the street. For obvious reasons, officers checked for injuries, moved the baby raccoon to the wood line, and monitored the situation. Based upon their observations, they feared the baby raccoon was in distress, so the raccoon was placed in a box and transported back to the station where they cared for it during the night.

In the morning, our animal control officer took the baby raccoon to the AARK where it received fantastic care.

As always, we remind everyone that it is best to leave wildlife alone unless it is clear that the animal is injured or in distress.. When in doubt, you can always give us a call. Have a wonderful evening and know we got you covered!

Today, we remember and honor the over 1.3 million service members who lost their lives in service to our great nation. They are heroes, not for how they died, but for how they lived. So, please take a moment today to honor those men and women of our Armed Forces who sacrificed their lives for freedom throughout the world. We can never repay the debt we owe them, but may we live a life worthy of their sacrifice. God bless them, their families, and may God bless the USA 🇺🇸.
