The Newtown Labor Day Parade is MONDAY, and we want you to join us!
Come out and celebrate one of Newtown’s biggest traditions while marching alongside the Newtown Republicans, local candidates, and Republican candidates from across Connecticut who are running for office this November!
Bring your family, friends, and neighbors! You don't have to be a candidate or an RTC member to join us, we want everyone to come march with us!
🇺🇸 PARADE DAY DETAILS
📅 Monday, September 7
⏰ Parade starts at 10:00 AM
📍 Line-up: Corner of Currituck Road & Academy Lane
⏱️ Parade is approximately 1.5 hours
Vehicles that are in the parade (candidate vehicles) should arrive by 8:15 AM.
Marchers/Supporters - Please arrive by 8:45 AM. Roads will close by approximately 9:30 AM, but it will be very hard to drive around by 9:00 AM so plan to arrive early.
🚗 GETTING THERE
Parking & Shuttle:
Park at St. Rose of Lima on Churchill Road, where shuttle buses will take you to the parade drop-off locations.
Going directly to the line-up?
You can be dropped off at the corner of Currituck Road & Academy Lane before the roads close.
The parade ends in front of My Place Restaurant and Caraluzzi's.
🇺🇸 MARCH WITH US — OR RIDE!
Can't walk the entire parade route? No problem!
We have a Republican float and you're welcome to ride on the float for all or part of the parade. We want everyone who wants to participate to be able to join us!
We'll also be toward the front of the parade, the line-up is below.
⭐ WHAT TO BRING
🇺🇸 Your family and friends — everyone is welcome!
🇺🇸 Red, white & blue — show your patriotic spirit!
🇺🇸 Comfortable shoes — unless you're planning to ride the float!
The parade is expected to bring 5,000–10,000 spectators, making this a great opportunity to show Newtown and Connecticut that Republicans are energized, engaged, and ready for November!
And remember—rain or shine, the parade goes on!
