LOTS happening at the Rushton Bird Banding Station during our fall migration banding sessions! Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays from sunrise to late morning, weather permitting. Last Thursday we banded and gently released 73 birds of 23 species, including song, white-throated, field, swamp, chipping, hermit, ruby, indigo, downy, towhee, yellowthroat, palm, yellow-rumped, oven, cat, and black-throated blue to name a few. The biggest surprise was a dapper Blue-headed Vireo (shown here).
