The Newtonia Betterment Association has received a generous donation once again this year to provide the meat for our annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner to be held Tuesday, November 11th, 6:30 pm at the Newtonia Community Center. Hope everyone can come!
This year we have voted to combine the money we didn’t use for the cancelled Trunk or Treat with the money we won’t need to buy meat and pay it forward! We hope to double it and more with your help! (We can’t think of better use of this money raised at the Newtonia Fall Festival!) We have chosen East Newton United to collect food and cash for their Blessing Baskets, Patriot Packs and Family Food Pantry. Newtonia Betterment Association will match up to $400 in cash donations which ENU will use to purchase perishable items for their Blessing Baskets. (Please make any checks payable to East Newton United.) You may bring money or food donations to the Newtonia Community Building next Tuesday. We will be there cooking most of the day and of course you can bring any donation to the Thanksgiving Dinner that evening. Newtonia has the best Dollar General! They are letting us put a box there for nonperishable food items. We will collect there until next Tuesday. This is a one-week cash/food drive so let’s all see what we can do to help some of our local families!
