Many in the railfan community know today as "6/11 Day", and we've got the *perfect* for that... Check out these fantastic photos of the Norfolk & Western Class J No. 611 leading a westbound excursion past our historic Newton Depot, back when the Depot was in its original location. As part of both of the Norfolk Southern Steam Programs, #611 is now the last locomotive to steam past the Depot, as well as the last to steam through Newton. While we have some steamy dreams of our own in the future where we are now, we're grateful for the many different organizations that keep the iconic #611 alive and well. Find out here about it's weekend excursions on the Virginia Scenic Railway that begin *tomorrow* - https://www.virginiascenicrailway.com/rides/summer-of-steam/
