On 05/01/2026 at approximately 19:23 HRS, Steven D Williams, 58, Robinson, was arrested on a Jasper County FTA Warrant-Burglary, during a warrant service in Jasper County.

On 05/01/2026 at approximately 20:23 HRS, Dawn M Ordiway, 41, Paris, was arrested on a Jasper County FTA Warrant-Probation Violation, during a warrant service in Jasper County.

On 05/02/2026 at approximately 01:27 HRS, Troy D Renshaw, 62, Robinson, was arrested on a Jasper County FTA Warrant- Aggravated DUI/License Suspended/Revoked, during a warrant service in Jasper County.

On 05/02/2026 at approximately 18:08 HRS, Christopher L Flora, 50, Teutopolis, was arrested for driving on suspended/revoke drivers license, during a traffic stop in the area of W Jourdan St. Newton, Jasper County.

On 05/09/2026 at approximately 22:07 HRS, Noah EW McKamey, 26, Hidalgo, was arrested on a Jasper County FTA Warrant-Possession of Methamphetamine < 5 Grams, during a warrant service in Jasper County.

On 05/13/2026 at approximately 17:23 HRS, Joshua S Koonce, 46, Charleston, was arrested on a Jasper County FTA Warrant-Domestic Battery/Bodily Harm, during a warrant service in Jasper County.

On 05/19/2026 at approximately 22:47 HRS, Robert E Reid, 38, Johnsonville, was arrested on a Jasper County Warrant-Aggravated Battery, during a warrant service in Jasper County.

On 05/20/2026 at approximately 18:11 HRS, Corey G Powell, 21, Newton, was arrested for driving on suspended/revoked drivers license, operate uninsured motor vehicle, and operate motor vehicle with suspended registration, during a traffic stop in the area of W Jourdan St / Lafayette St. Newton, Jasper County.

On 05/21/2026 at approximately 15:13 HRS, Tarek H Abbed, 47, Bloomington, was arrested on a Jasper County Warrant-Forgery/Make/Alter Document, during a warrant service in Jasper County.

On 05/26/2026 at approximately 01:45 HRS, Earl T Prewitt, 49, Dieterich, was arrested on an Effingham County Warrant, Resisting / Obstructing a peace officer, and threatening a public official, after deputies responded to a call in the area of N. Mill St. Wheeler, Jasper County.

On 05/27/2026 at approximately 21:05 HRS, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of W Jourdan St. Newton, Jasper County. Robert J Gowin, 57, Newton, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Andrew J Schmidt, 63, Newton, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

On 05/30/2026 at approximately 08:12 HRS, a 17-Year-Old Juvenile Male, Willow Hill, was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, after deputies responded to a call in the area of N 500th St / E St Hwy 33 Wheeler, Jasper County.

On 05/30/2026 at approximately 18:23 HRS, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of N 1000th St. Newton, Jasper County. Tonya U Shaffer, 49, Newton, was arrested for a Jasper County FTA Warrant-Possession of Cannabis by Driver, possession of methamphetamine, delivery/possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. Justin J Reynolds, 46, Newton, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, and delivery/possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine.

On 04/06/2026 at approximately 12:18 HRS, Dartha J Chagala-Munoz, 41, Wheeler, was arrested on a Jasper County FTA Warrant-Possession of Methamphetamine, during a warrant service in Jasper County.

On 04/08/2026 at approximately 17:09 HRS, Hope C Boehm, 34, Newton, was arrested on a Body Attachment Warrant, during a warrant service in Jasper County.

On 04/10/2026 at approximately 03:39 HRS, deputies responded to a call in the area of E. 400th Ave. Willow Hill, Jasper County. Ashton D Reynolds, 22, Newton, was arrested for battery. Jeremy L Babbs, 37, Oblong, was arrested for battery and probation violation. Jerry D Stephens III, 25, Oblong, was arrested for battery, aggravated battery to a peace officer, and resisting or obstructing arrest.

This year, 122 students statewide will receive financial assistance to continue their education at accredited institutions of higher learning.

The Illinois Sheriffs’ Association established this scholarship program in 1979. Now entering its 47th year, the program recognizes students who demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and strong character. It stands as a testament to our belief in the power of education and the importance of investing in the next generation.

With the support of our County Sheriffs and our Citizen Membership Program, we are proud to award $63,000 in scholarships this year, helping students take the next step toward their goals and future success.

The Jasper County Sheriff's Office would like to welcome our newest employee K-9 Diesel. 🐾 K-9 Deputy Adam Bridges and Diesel completed their training and graduated from Canine Deployed on April 3rd. They recieved their State Certification on April 9th and are officially on duty to help keep our community safe.
