Celebrating the grand opening today in Chestnut Hill of Frank Pepe's first Massachusetts location! The 90 year-old restaurant group first opened in 1925 in New Haven, CT. The founder's grandchildren attended today's event, Jennifer Kelly and Gary Bimonte, and joined Mayor Setti Warren for a ceremonial pizza cutting!

We're going to hold a free reception at Newton City Hall on Sunday, December 20, at 1 pm, to celebrate diversity and inclusion in Newton. Let's join together - people of all ages, religions, races, ethnicities, disabilities, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, born in the United States or elsewhere. There will be a short speaking program including some facts about U.S. policies on refugees and immigrants, light refreshments, and fellowship.

Please note: no overnight parking 2am-6am on City of Newton streets through April. While the winter parking restriction is in place, residents may park for free overnight in a municipal lot. To obtain a municipal lot permit, please visit the Newton Police Department office at 25 Chestnut Street. We appreciate your attention to this ordinance regarding parking.

Third Annual City-Wide Food Drive underway in Newton. Donation bins at City Hall and other locations. For information, please call 617-796-1540 or visit: www.newtonma.gov/fooddrive.
