주보스턴대한민국총영사관은 한국과 오랜 인연을 이어온 평화봉사단 회원들과 보스턴 지역 학생들이 함께하는 FOK 행사를 개최했습니다. 🇰🇷🇺🇸

이번 행사에서는 FOK 회원과 학생들이 들려주는 한국과 관련된 다양한 이야기를 비롯해 소프라노 공연과 태권도 공연 등 다채로운 프로그램이 진행되었습니다.

서로 다른 세대와 배경을 가진 참석자들이 한국이라는 공통된 인연을 바탕으로 이야기를 나누고 교류하는 뜻깊은 시간이었습니다. 앞으로도 이 특별한 인연이 계속 이어지기를 기대합니다. 😊

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Boston held an FOK event with Peace Corps members who have a special connection to Korea and students from the Boston area. 🇰🇷🇺🇸

The event featured stories about Korea shared by FOK members and students, along with a soprano performance and a Taekwondo performance.

It was a meaningful time for people from different generations and backgrounds to share their stories and connect through their common ties to Korea. We hope these special connections will continue for years to come. 😊

지난 8월 20일, 보스턴 시청 앞에 태극기가 힘차게 게양되었습니다. 🇰🇷
푸른 하늘 아래 울려 퍼진 애국가와 함께 광복 81주년을 기념하고, 국기게양식 후에는 한식을 나누며 많은 분들과 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다.
소중한 자리에 함께해 주신 모든 분들께 감사드립니다!

On August 20, the Korean flag was proudly raised at Boston City Hall in celebration of the 81st anniversary of Korea’s Liberation Day. 🇰🇷
We shared a meaningful moment with the Korean national anthem and enjoyed some Korean food after the ceremony.

🇰🇷 Korean Heritage Night 🇰🇷

지난 8월 15일, 우스터 Polar Park에서 광복 81주년 기념 한국의 날 행사가 열렸습니다!
K-pop 댄스 공연부터 풍물놀이, 한복 체험, 애국가 제창까지, 야구장 곳곳에서 한국 문화를 함께 즐기는 시간을 가졌는데요.
한국전쟁 참전용사분의 시구도 함께 진행되어 더욱 뜻깊은 시간이었습니다.

Korean Heritage Night was held at Polar Park in Worcester on August 15 in celebration of the 81st anniversary of Korea’s Liberation Day!
The event featured a K-pop dance performance, a traditional Korean Pungmul performance, Hanbok try-on experiences, and the Korean and U.S. national anthems.
The night was even more meaningful with a Korean War veteran throwing out the first pitch.
