Freeze Warning
FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 10 AM CST MONDAY...

* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills
between 17 and 20 degrees expected. For the Freeze Warning,
sub-freezing temperatures between 28 and 30 degrees expected.

* WHERE...In Texas, Hardin, Southern Jasper, and Southern Newton Counties.

* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, from midnight tonight to 10
AM CST Monday. For the Freeze Warning, from 3 AM to 10 AM CST
Monday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures. Frost and freeze conditions
could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage
unprotected outdoor plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

Anyone traveling in between trout Creek and Deweyville…. be very careful! A tree has fallen on the road. The authorities have been contacted, but it’s very dangerous and it will be a few minutes before they get there.
