What an inspiring evening celebrating this year’s Artful Pianos! Thank you to the incredibly talented artists whose creativity transformed pianos into vibrant public works of art for our community to enjoy all season long.
A huge round of applause to:

We were honored to have Mayor Marc Laredo and many members of the City Council attend the reception in a wonderful show of support for Newton’s vibrant arts community.
We are so grateful to our piano donors for helping make this project possible, and especially to the gifted and generous tuner and technician Greg Livingston for preparing each piano with such care and expertise.
Special thanks to our wonderful sponsors — Store Newton Centre, and for supporting creativity and public art in Newton.

Bravo to musical performers Ken Gordon and Clay Napurano for filling the reception with beautiful music and helping make the evening so memorable.

We invite the Newton community to visit all 7 pianos throughout the summer — marvel at the artwork, gather with friends and family, and don’t forget to stop and play a tune!

Don’t miss the chance to experience the creativity and talent of Newton’s youth artists at SpringFest this year!

For the past 6 weeks, student artists in Project SHINE have been hard at work creating powerful and inspiring mural boards centered around this year’s theme:

America at 250 – Local Stories, Shared Futures

This year’s SHINE theme explores how history, community, and identity connect across time — right here in Newton. Meet the talented youth artists who are bringing these ideas to life through bold colors, creative techniques, and meaningful storytelling.

Visit the SHINE display area to see the mural boards up close, meet the artists in person, and learn more about their artistic vision and process.

And you'll want to add your own creativity to the Community Art Mural led by artist Everyone is invited to add a swash of paint and help create a collaborative work of art!

Come celebrate art, community, and creativity at SpringFest! We are grateful to our sponsors and
