Draw Along Creatures Wednesday, September 16 at 4:00pm.

Eik the Read Dog September 19 10:30-11:30am.

Eik the Read Dog and his handler, Emma, are coming to visit the Newton Library to let kids practice reading aloud!

This event is for children ages 5 and up. It is designed especially for kids who are learning to read, reluctant readers, or those needing a little confidence boost with their reading skills. Registration is required*, and there are 4 slots (10:30-10:45am; 10:45-11am; 11-11:15am; 11:15-11:30am) so that each reader gets 15 minutes with Eik.

Mindfulness Jars: Tuesday September 15 at 4:00pm.
Join us in making MINDFULNESS JARS! Mindfulness jars can be used by kids to help them relax or calm down after having overpowering emotions. We will also be practicing breathing exercises and reading a calm story.

Join us for the Summer at the Hyde: Family Outdoor Concert Series on Friday, August 28 at 10:30am featuring Seth Hanson!
We’re bringing the music outside to the Hyde Community Center for a morning of fun and lively tunes the whole family will love.

Back to School Storytime Thursday August 27 at 4:00pm.
It is that time of year...this family storytime is especially geared towards kids learning about going to school or preschool for their first time. We will have stories and songs and a craft project that will reinforce how much fun kids will have when they go to school.
This event is for kids ages 3-5. No registration required, drop-ins welcome.
