Sorry for the late post. Our chair is in the hospital but wanted to acknowledge Pride month. So im sending this out on his behalf.

Happy Pride Month to Tennessee's LGBTQ+ community.

I know that for many people, Pride can feel different this year. When it seems like your rights, your identity, or your place in our communities are constantly being debated, celebrated, or challenged by others, it can be exhausting.

So today, I want to say this clearly: You belong here.

You deserve to live openly, safely, and with dignity. You deserve the same freedoms, opportunities, and respect as every other Tennessean. Your existence is not a political issue, and your worth is not up for debate.

Pride began as a call for visibility, equality, and courage in the face of adversity. That spirit remains as important as ever.

To every LGBTQ+ person in Tennessee who may be feeling discouraged, unseen, or targeted right now: you are not alone. There are people in every corner of this state who see you, support you, and will continue working toward a Tennessee where everyone can thrive.

Happy Pride Month. 🏳️‍🌈

The Cocke County Sheriff’s Office has received several complaints over vandalism to campaign signs. These signs are property of each individual candidate. Each sign represents a different charge of vandalism, which in turn lands the suspect in Jail. If you are caught violating the vandalism laws or theft, you will be prosecuted. There is absolutely no reason for this to happen regardless of your political views. These signs are very expensive and take candidates hours to place and remove. We ask the community to review cameras to see if we can locate the suspect or if you see this kind of behavior, call dispatch at 423-623-3064. Most of the reports have came from the Parrottsville area. Thank you.

🚨 Addressing June 14th Rumors 📢

Some of you were alerted to there being a No Kings nationwide day of protest planned for Sunday, June 14th, but that is incorrect. There was a misunderstanding and a misprint in an article that has since been corrected.

The event being promoted on June 14th is a concert in NYC, but it was not organized by No Kings. A collective called Committee for the First Amendment is hosting the concert. The No Kings coalition supports their efforts to disrupt the UFC fight on the White House lawn that will air at the same time that night, and to that effect they are encouraging people to host watch parties to livestream the concert for folks in their communities.
