Vermillion Co. Soil and Water Conservation District Our mission is to enable the conservation of Vermillion Co natural resources, thereby improving the environment and quality of life for future generations.

Congratulations to the 2026 Stewardship Poster Contest Winners in the 4th through 6th grade category! The theme this year was "Soil. Where it all Begins," and students had to create their posters based on that theme! This year's winners are:
Harper Riley - First Place
Bryson Moore - Second Place
Parker Webb - Third Place

Their artwork will be on display in the SWCD Building at the Vermillion County Fair. Visit our building from June 15-19!

Hey everyone! We wanted to let you know about an exciting opportunity. We are hosting a Hoosier Riverwatch training. The training will be a one-day workshop, with the first half a classroom session on surface water testing and the second part in an actual stream performing the testing and assessment.
