Hello everyone!

We wanted to update you all and let you know that we are excited to announce that CASA of Lincoln County is now combined with CASA – Voices for Children of Benton County. This means that we will continue to provide court-appointed volunteer advocacy to children and youth who have open cases because they have experienced abuse or neglect in Lincoln County, and now share resources with CASA of Benton County.
Our mission is now the same in both counties: To ensure the best outcome and future for each abused and neglected child in Benton and Lincoln Counties, and beyond by training volunteers to provide advocacy, life skills, and expanding services to help kids thrive.

CASA-VFC has a strong history of collaboration with CASA of Lincoln County, and we are so excited for the opportunities that lie ahead. CASA will retain existing offices in both counties to provide in-person support for our local communities. Combining the Benton and Lincoln County programs will enable CASA to utilize resources more effectively, providing increased support for the children and families we serve.

Across the two counties, there are approximately 300 children each year placed in resource (foster) care. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to watch over and advocate for these children, ensuring they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system. Volunteers speak for the child in the courtroom, representing their best interest and working to move the child as quickly and effectively as possible into a safe, permanent home. For many abused children, their CASA volunteer will be the one constant adult presence in their lives.

“We look forward to bringing consistent and strong advocacy to children in care in both counties,” said Kari Pinard, executive Director of both counties now, who has been involved with CASA-VFC for 20 years and served as its Executive Director in Benton County for over a decade. “Every day I see the difference that CASA makes in the life of a child,” she continued. “Our volunteers ensure that children receive the medical, dental, vision, mental health and educational services they need for a healthier, safer, and brighter future.”

CASA-Voices for Children is seeking additional volunteers in both Benton and Lincoln Counties to ensure that each child in care has a safe, nurturing, permanent home and the opportunity to thrive. To learn more about available volunteer opportunities or make a donation to support foster youth, please visit casa-vfc.org or call the CASA office at (541) 753-5838 or (541) 265-3116.
