Judge/Executive Steve Pendery and Commissioner Tom Lampe joined local leaders to celebrate the grand opening of Publix in Cold Spring.

Located in the Cold Spring Pointe development, the new Publix is the first location in Campbell County. The store employs approximately 140 associates and welcomed its first customers on June 17.

Representatives from the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce joined Cold Spring Mayor Angelo Penque, Campbell County Sheriff Mike Jansen, local officials and business leaders for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The opening represents a significant investment in the community, bringing new jobs, expanded shopping options and continued growth to Cold Spring and Campbell County.

We'll be holding a public meeting on Thursday, July 9, to update residents and gather input on preliminary designs for a proposed new segment of KY 536 in Campbell County.

The project will provide an important and reliable east-west connection between U.S. 27 and the AA Highway (KY 9). Multiple designs are being proposed. The meeting will be an open house event.

🗓: Thursday, July 9
⏰: TIME: 5 to 7 p.m.
🏫: Alexandria City Hall, 8236 W. Main Street, Alexandria, KY 41001

There will be no formal presentation provided during the open house. Those who are interested may stop by at any time to review the preliminary deigns, receive handouts containing project information and fill out comment sheets to provide citizen input. Representatives from KYTC and the engineering design consultant will be in attendance to answer questions.

After considering public feedback, the final design phase will take place over the next one to two years.

If unable to attend the open house meeting, KYTC has provided a project website (link in comments) that includes information about the project timeline. More details will be shared on the project website once a preferred alternative has been selected.
