A day to remember. December 7,1941. Let us remind ourselves and our children that freedom isn’t free. This was the beginning on one of the bloodiest wars in our history. I’m so thankful for all those who stood tall against evil aggression and those who continue to stand today! God bless you and God bless all those that stand for truth and the America that many have sacrificed their lives, livelihood for. Take a moment to remember!

Looking forward to the next few weeks and the leadership that will be helping us build the future for Newport. I have thoroughly enjoyed the new relationships built with people like Ed Davis, Ken Rechtin, Dave Capella, and Julie-Smith Morrow.

I have the utmost confidence in where our city is headed and hope to use this platform to keep you (and me) informed about important issues for our community.

God Bless!

Thanks to the Newport Business Association for hosting the Candidate Forum at the Fedders Event Center last night. What a transformation of the old bus garage. Met a lot of new folks and some old friends. Should be an interesting Primary and election cycle.

There have been several posts on various sites regarding the RMR issue recently. Let me clear, I stand for the safety, security and prosperity of all of our neighbors.

I was at last month’s hearing at the District Courthouse when the case was put in continuance. From my vantage point there appears to be an opportunity for greater communication and collaboration. When these matters reach the court stage, however, communication may become more challenging.

I am hopeful that a good resolution will be made for the citizens of Newport.
